Shadow demons are very powerful and dangerous creatures, so their leader is one of the most well-known aristocrats of the city. He and his kind reside in the Middle City, in a place that is easy to identify, for the darkness there terrifies even other demons. That is where the Commander must go to end Ar-Mikheth's life in exchange for a lucrative payment.

Walkthrough
- To begin this quest talk to Yozz in Assassins' Guild and agree to kill Ar-Mikheth.
Kill Ar-Mikheth, leader of the shadow demons
- Go to northern island of Middle City, the entrance to Shadow Demons' Lair is found on platform with portals.
- Approaching north-west corner of the lair will cause Ar-Mikheth to appear, after a short dialogue fight will ensue.
- Demon Mythic Path choice will debuff Ar-Mikheth with Shaken for 2 rounds.
Get the reward from Yozz
- When you exit the Shadow Demons' Lair you will be escorted to Harem of Ardent Dreams. You will be on a trial and your responses are:
- [DemonsFreedom_counter -1] [Control your anger, and assert your dominance in front of the crowd]
- Also triggers [NobleDemon] etude and Perception DC 26 check (+45xp). This leads to you becoming lord of the shadow demons.
- [DemonsFreedom_counter +1] [Unleash your rage, and prove that you cannot be controlled]
- [DemonsFreedom_counter -1] "I was ordered to kill this demon."
- [DemonsFreedom_counter -1] "I consider myself to be one of you, and therefore I act as you do."

- Once you exit Harem of Ardent Dreams you get to talk with Hand of the Inheritor:

- Return to Yozz and get 50000

Side Activities
- Greybor's A Matter of Reputation can not be resolved with Yozz until this quest is completed.
- If you have agreed to put a good word for assassins from Mercy you will be able to talk about it with Yozz, you will get Assassins (x4) in Act 5.
- After completing the quest, if you controlled your anger and became lord of the shadow demons, you can return to Shadow Demons' Lair and meet Tarshary there.
- He will give you Letter Written in Elegant Handwriting if you haven't even started Rapture of Rupture quest.
- "You have offered me your service. What does that entail?" grants KC the Praying Shadows feature (DR 10/-).
- You can also buy more Shadowblood from him for 6000 each. Infinitive stock.
- He will appear in Drezen in Act 5 if you stay on Demon Mythic Path path, so you could buy more there.
- You can order him to send reinforcements for Nexus defense (see The Way Back).
- You can safely rest there.
