Act 2
By Hell's Ordinance
After your crusade army clears the first fort on the river and the Crusader's Camp moves there, Yaker will show up in your tent for an audience. He is soaking wet and unarmed. He identifies himself as a hellknight and requests assistance, as his troop is under attack by gargoyles. This begins the quest By Hell's Ordinance.
You are met by Yaker after arriving at Reliable Redoubt. He guides you down the path to the hellknight's camp as you fight off gargoyles. There is an encounter with a dying crusader on the way down. If you attempt to help, Yaker will indicate that he thinks this is a waste of time.
After arriving at the cave and defeating the Gargoyles, you will engage in conversation with Regill. You can provide your opinion on whether Yaker should be punished for his decision to leave the camp to seek help. Regill believes he made the right decision and should be rewarded, but also punished for breaking the rules. He gives Yaker double but sentences him to 100 lashes. Yaker will like you if you speak up on his behalf by selecting the chaotic dialogue option.
A Strike from the Sky
After the gargoyle attack on the Crusader's Camp, Yaker can be found on the path leading up to the Lost Chapel if you assisted the Hellknights at Reliable Redoubt. He is fighting a large group of gargoyles with some escaped crusaders and Hellknights. After helping them, you will have an opportunity to decide what to do about the cowardly crusaders.
If you did not assist the Hellknights at Reliable Redoubt, you will meet a wounded Yaker alone at the same spot. He has sustained a terrible injury in a fight with a ghoul. He explains that the gargoyles killed many of the Hellknights and carried the rest here. You can learn from him that the demons here are infecting prisoners with ghoul fever and then torturing them until they become ghouls themselves. After this, Yaker will go to safety, but requests that you find his Paralictor, Regill.
