Shandra Mervey is a character in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Biography

Shandra is an elderly and experienced diplomat from New Stetven, the capital of Brevoy. She has a daughter, and two grandchildren who she considered spoiled but otherwise promising. She considers them a weakness enemies could exploit, so only Natala Surtova and King Noleski Surtova knows where her family live.

During her time dispatched to Artume, a nation in the River Kingdoms, she handled a large band of highwaymen who were attacking caravans to Brevoy. She announced that she was expecting valuable cargo from her homeland, and when it was stolen, she paid three bards to spread tales of the theft. This lead to other bandits attacking the highwaymen in hopes of stealing the loot for themselves, resulting in a war between local bandit factions - by the end, all the soldiers had to do was find the stolen goods from amongst the corpses.

Interactions

Shandra is first met by players during A Noble Welcome, when first receiving their barony. She is Natala Surtova's suggestion for emissary from Brevoy. If taken, she can fulfil the Councilor role - her suggestions favour merchants and nobility over the common folk.

Taking her opens up the ability to open trade with New Stetven directly via a kingdom project.

If the player does not side with House Surtova during Hour of Rage, or otherwise negotiate a peace between them and Jamandi Aldori, she will leave the player's service.
